I thought they started well and the goal was great but the longer the game went on the more negative and lost they seemed to be. Overall not impressed but on a positive note they defended well. Still don't think they have a realistic chance to win the tournament but I would like to be wrong.

Just watched the belgian game, every team in this competition is competing to win each game, no matter who the manager, we aren't gonna blow past teams 3-0 every game, ultimately the win and clean sheet are the most important thing. A lot of it is down to English media and fans expectation as well. If Gareth Southgate does manage to bring a trophy back to England, not one of his critics will praise him.

Dreadful performance against a poor opposition. The balance was all wrong with lots of player clearly out of position. Foden looked lost. Southgate needs to change. Adam Wharton is a great defensive midfielder and a good partner for Rice. If they played in front of a back three, it would allow England to play three attacking midfielders where the have plenty of options while having a solid defensive line up.
