Istanbul, Türkiye – Welcome to Istanbul, one of the most fascinating, historical, and delicious cities in the world. Today I’ll be taking you on an ultimate Turkish street food tour in Istanbul – you can expect some iconic street foods and some unseen surprises!

📍Galata Simitçisi (https://maps.app.goo.gl/21CJNCCZZ4FMSB9YA) – You can’t come to Istanbul without trying simit, a common ring shaped bread that you’ll find at bakeries and street food carts throughout the city.
📍Çiğ Köfteci Seyfettin Usta (https://maps.app.goo.gl/u6i4Fj4LEpNRhZSJA) – One of my absolute favorite Turkish foods is Çiğ Köfte, that includes raw meat, bulgur, and lots of spices.
📍Dürümcü Raif Usta (https://maps.app.goo.gl/xkrWpGzZeSoByJQCA) – Turkey is the king of kebabs and a durum is a grilled kebab served wrapped in bread so it’s often fast and on the go.
📍Tarihi Eminönü Derya Balıkçısı 1945 (https://maps.app.goo.gl/qq2h2opz347XSv3v8) – Probably the most iconic of all Turkish street foods in Istanbul is the balik ekmek, a grilled fish sandwich still served on a boat on the Golden Horn.
📍Beşaltı Kirvem Tantuni (https://maps.app.goo.gl/Sbf1E4iCwXEg1wB97) – It’s hard to find anything tastier than tantuni!
📍Tekrartekrarr Bay Köfte (https://maps.app.goo.gl/GkhSxeCbeQyJWP6z6) – This was something totally unique and that I’d never seen before, an ultimate cheese overdose, and so good!
📍Sokak pilavcısı (https://maps.app.goo.gl/sKCn3GwgLJFa72q2A) – Another popular Istanbul street food is rice and chickpeas with shredded chicken, and you’ll find it all over the city.
📍Midyeci Erkan (https://maps.app.goo.gl/bfvrVjSiiwJdkAne8) – If you love mussels, midye dolma are a dream come true. They go down so easily and are so addictive!

Great show again Mark👏🏻 I make çiğköfte at home for family and friends.. The original recipe calls for half and half for bulgur and meat.. The meat has to be 100%lean and double or even triple ground, knead at least an hour with spices and bulgur..

You see the difference of durum kebab in Turkey and in Europe…. We don't make it full of veggies with mayonnaise and chips and stuff because the meat is quality and you need to have the pure taste… No country will be close to Turkey in terms of food in my opinion.
As a turkish person, food is one of the main reasons why I can't leave istanbul

haven't been to Istanbul in 10 years or more. Even then I only vaguely remember seeing a little bit of Istanbul, we mostly visited family. really need to go back and maybe check out some of these food spots 🙂
